A Trimble® SPS361 GPS Heading and Positioning Receiver is running at our Houston office. The antennas are located on the roof with a separation of about 10 meters.
You can access the receiver here >> SPS361 <<
Expand the panels on the left to see the various functions (some views and options are disabled in anonymous log in mode).
If you check out the IO configuration page, you will see that the NMEA heading string, HDT, is enabled to stream out of port 5017 via TCP.
To see the actual data stream, use a terminal program such as Windows Hyper Terminal. Select TCP for the connection mode and enter the IP address and port number:
75.148.174.189 & 5017
Then open the connection to see the NMEA text string.
The remote access features and TCP transport make these receivers ideal for remote monitoring applications.
